About CIASTD

The Central Indiana chapter of the American Society for Training and Development (CIASTD) brings together workplace learning and performance professionals who wish to strengthen their skills and increase their organizational impact.

Through CIASTD, members are encouraged to:

• Connect. Network with like-minded professionals during CIASTD events and meetings, join us in on-line forums Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, and Ning, or meet future employees or employers through the CIASTD job bank.

•Learn. Attend a monthly meeting, webinar, or special event. Learn about topics ranging from coaching to the use of technology in development. Or, invest in yourself by participating in CIASTD University - a program designed to build your personal skill set or help prepare you for the Certified Professional in Learning and Performance certification or recertification process.

• Engage. Support your profession and hone your skills by volunteering with CIASTD. Opportunities exist in a variety of areas, spanning from programming to finance. Share your knowledge by contributing to The Facilitator, CIASTD's monthly newsletter.

CIASTD was founded as the Industrial Training Directors Association of Indianapolis in 1942 and became affiliated with the national American Society for Training and Development shortly thereafter. CIASTD is the leading source for learning and performance professionals in Central Indiana. The non-profit organization provides education, skill development, and networking opportunities with the intention of forwarding the profession.
